Saturday Snaphots - Diabetes Blog Week - Day 6

Today is Day 5 of the 2nd Annual Diabetes Blog Week. Today's topic is "Saturday Snapshots": inspired by the Diabetes 365 project, let's snap a few more d-related pictures and share them again. Post as many or as few as you'd like. Be creative! Feel free to blog your thoughts on or explanations of your pictures. Or leave out the written words and let the pictures speak for themselves.

Diabetes spoils everything...
no "sugary" goodness on her beignets :(
Feeling low
In the hospital just weeks before her 5 year Diaversary

But diabetes isn't all bad....there is some good stuff that comes with it too :)

Camp Victory bonfire - Summer 2010
JDRF Walk to Cure 2010 - We have an AWESOME team!
Having fun at her Lemonade for a Cure stand
supporting JDRF
And while diabetes does tag along EVERYWHERE with certainly doesn't define her!

She's a "typical" 2nd grader
Who loves to swim...
and skate...
and be a Diva!

And just for some added's a bonus pic for today that my dear hubby texted me this morning:
Not so sure I want Charlie as
JDRF's newest spokesman ;)

  1. I LOVED your pictures, in particular the Diva one! Adorable!!!

  2. Love the diva pic... we have a few of Elise like that!

  3. Your photography is beautiful.

I love how you shared so many photos.

The Charlie Sheen pic and your caption made me agreement! :)

  4. What a cutie!! and I don't mean Charlie...

  5. Great photos! What a cutie! I think the skating photo was my favorite.

  6. So cute!!
    Charlie Sheen??? JDRF??? REALLY???

  7. Awesome pictures!!
    God help us...Charlie Sheen?!?!?!

  8. The skate one was cool! Love the lighting in that one...and...EWWWWWWWWW Charlie?!

  9. Thanks for all the love :)
Did some digging on Charlie...looks like that photo is from a recent JDRF Gala in Beverly Hills.
@Heidi...thanks for the compliment on the photography...wish I could take credit, but most of those pics were taken by my hubby who is a professional photographer.

  10. Well, then, tell your husband that I admire his talent! :)

I'm a wanna-be professional photographer. I studied photography in college and then never went anywhere with it...I'm kicking myself for that now.

  11. LOVE THE PICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can totally relate to the life of a diva...definitely have a few of those around here :)

    Beautiful life ;)
